You may have wondered: how often should I write a new blog entry?
Whilst it is true that the world’s leading bloggers write frequently (often every day), this is probably unrealistic for you.
If you are small business owner or professional marketer, you are busy.
Finding the time to write can be problematic.
I suggest that you aim to write one or two blogs per month.
Put a couple of entries in your diary each month and mark them as: Write a new blog
It is better to write a couple of blogs each month and achieve your goal, than to set your sights too high and become discouraged.
Coming up with ideas can be the hard part, can’t it?
If that sounds familiar, this may help…

Some people love to write
..whilst others find it a chore.
Be realistic about the time that it takes to write a blog.
If you are writing for the search engines, then an extended word count will help.
A typical blog is circa 300 words (like this blog).
An extended (long form) blog is over 800 words.
In fact, a long blog can easily be in excess of 2000 words in length.
Hence, there is an argument for writing fewer, long form blogs.
On this basis, go back over your blogs and see if you can ‘build them out’ with more information, extra ideas and links.
I know many people who publish short blogs very frequently.
This is fine, as long as they are interesting, useful, helpful and interesting.
(Some are, some are not).
As a Digital marketing consultant clients ask me: how often should I write a new blog entry? I hope that this blog has helped you.
Personally, I would rather write than work.
I wish you well with your blog writing.
